I love baseball. In so many ways, life is just like baseball.
In baseball, a great hitter is really successful 3 out of 10 times.
That means that they will fail 7 times. 30% of their at bats are great.
If I told you I did well on a test and I mentioned I got 30 questions right out of 100,
you’d break the news to me and tell me that isn’t good.
So, just like baseball, we have failures in our life. Maybe more failures than successes. But, we have to realize that it isn’t all about how you fail or even why you failed. It’s about going back up to the plate after you’ve failed and getting those hits.
Those hits that make you a great player.
As Christians, we have failures in life. Let’s not focus on the failures, let’s focus on fighting through them.
And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Romans 5:3-5
