On to the Next One

The 2013-2014 school year is done and gone. There is much rejoicing in the air among students right now and there should be! They’ve conquered both semesters, aced their finals (we’ll just think they did), accepted internships, and most importantly they’ve grown closer to their spiritual family and to God.
This school year has been great all because of these wonderful college students. I must say though, that there is some sadness too. The Central congregation has an empty place now because the students have gone home but we all are anticipating their triumphant return in the fall.
I am reminded of the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Colossians in which he writes the following in Col. 1:9-12
9And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, 10so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy; 12giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light

This clearly summarizes the entire group of Tide 4 Christ. They are truly filled with the knowledge of His word and increasing in it at every opportunity, they are earnestly walking in a manner worthy of the Lord, and they bearing fruit in every good work that they set out to do! My prayers are with everyone of these students this summer and I am excited in what the next school year has in store!
