I’m worried. I shouldn’t be, but I am. I’m worried about my kids. The children I don’t have yet. With everything going on in the world today, it’s scary to think what will the future be when my wife and I have kids roaming around. What’s going to to be the cultural norm? How is religion going to be viewed? Are Christians going to be ridiculed for standing up for what they believe? Is the church going to adopt what the cultural norm is? Violence and sex are popular now on television and the movies, what’s it going to be like in the near future? Language, music, drugs, peer pressure, things taught in school, things portrayed by the media, and the list goes on.
I shouldn’t be worried, but I am. I’m reminded of two things:
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
“You will be hated by all because of My name, but the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.”
The world and the works of the devil will do their thing. As for those who believe in God, let us remember that we have peace in Him and His Son, and knowing we have that peace let us stand firm in our beliefs. Not just for us, but for the world to see and for our children.
