Let us P%@Y

Today I was able to do something that I think many people aren’t able to do or rather choose not to. I got to go to my old high school and do a devotional in front of the school. There were probably about 20 students (10 elementary and 10 high schoolers). I find that uplifting but yet a little discouraging. I say that because I remember when I was in high school (graduated in 2005) that there were times that a student lead a prayer over the intercom after morning announcements. We had a prayer before every football game and I had the privilege to lead one of those prayers at a home game.

Now, it’s come to the point where we have a moment of silence or nothing at all. Students gets punished for saying a prayer during lunch or between classes. Prayer is taken away from sporting events.

So, let’s stand up.  Stand up in a way that people see God needs to be in our lives, our friends lives, and in the lives of growing children.
